Welcome to the Unified Registration System.
The Unified Registration System (URS) is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) electronic on-line registration system for all entities regulated by the Agency, including motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, intermodal equipment providers (IEPs), hazardous materials safety permit (HMSP) applicants/holders, and cargo tank manufacturing and repair facilities.
Please note : The URS system should be used by first time applicants only, those who do not have an existing USDOT number. Not sure if you need a USDOT Number? Click here to find out.
URS utilizes Login.gov Service to authenticate users.
