Operating Authority
Select Operating Authority from the Company Information portlet.
The Operating Authority section displays the MC/MX#, Legal Name, and the DBA name for the authorized company.
The Operating Authority Detail information contains the following information:
| • | General Info - The USDOT #, MC/MX number, legal name, DBA name, telephone number, business address, and mailing address, for the authorized company. |
| • | Scope of Authority and Status - The status of the operating authority registration in the Licensing & Insurance (L&I) database. This section identifies whether the entity is registered as a common carrier, contract carrier or as a property broker. Freight forwarder authority is listed as contract authority. An active status means the carrier, freight forwarder or broker is currently in business. An inactive status means the carrier, freight forwarder or broker operating authority has been revoked. A none status means the carrier, freight forwarder, or broker is not registered for that type of authority. Note: If the authority status is none, an application may be pending or a previous application may have been denied, dismissed, or withdrawn. If the application is pending, it is listed as such. |
| • | Insurance Details - The details of the held insurance. This includes the form, type of insurance, the insurance carrier, policy surety, policy posted date, the minimum coverage amount, the maximum coverage amount, the insurance effective date, and the insurance cancellation date. This is the most recent insurance information contained in the L&I database. The Insurance Type will be either Bodily Injury and Property Damage (BIPD), liability, cargo, or bond. Insurance Required refers to the amount of coverage required. Insurance on File refers to the amount of insurance currently on file for the authority. |
| • | Additional Notes - Any additional information regarding the company's Operating Authority. |
